Dean’s List: Winter 2009

Students earning a GPA of 3.800 or better and who have earned at least six units a quarter are eligible for the Graduate Business Program’s Dean’s List, posted each quarter. Dean’s List students will receive a letter of recognition after all grades have been posted, with a copy in each student’s file. In addition, the Dean’s List will be announced via Virtual Connections, and listed in the Awards section of the Graduate Business web.

Undergraduates and graduates alike are learning “magic” from Professor of Information Systems Manoochehr Ghiassi. While the new dynamic artificial neural network model (DAN2) Ghiassi has developed is not exactly a crystal ball, its innovative use of artificial intelligence to accurately predict upcoming operational needs based on current data helps businesses forecast the future and use their resources more efficiently.

OU Local Honor Roll Announced

Students from 235 communities made the University of Oklahoma Norman campus honor roll for the fall 2006 semester.

In most colleges, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale to be included on the honor roll. Students in the College of Architecture are recognized with a 3.3 or better, and students in the College of Engineering are recognized with a 3.0 or better.
