Over the course of time, man have evolved from the primitive and mindless being into sophisticated and clever minds. With this in mind, violent acts have been an intolerable action in society and can result in severe consequences. However, with some communities increasing in poverty, starvation and mortality rates due to government corruption, it is quite difficult to blame people who choose to act inhumanely and violently towards society. Nonetheless, a great option to consider is the use of nonviolent resistance or nonviolent actions to get you heard and to express an individual or a group’s collective opinions and goals for reformation.

Declarations by Organizations and Institutions
A single voice can change the world. Voices that have cried out over injustice have righted wrongs and brought to light the evil that humanity is capable of doing and changed this planet for the better. However, it is not enough at times for just one voice to cry out and demand justice for those that cannot do it for themselves. Sometimes it does take a village to stand up, or at least Organizations and Institutions. Declarations by organizations and institutions can bring awareness from things such as global climate change and animal cruelty to the persecution of minorities and the exploitation of women. By bringing these issues to the attention of others, a plan of action to end or change it can be set upon. The world can grow freer and safer.

Dozens of army deserters ‘gunned down’ #Damascus
BBC and other news media report that a massacre happened in Syria:
Activist groups said more than 70 defectors were gunned down in the north-western Idlib province.
In total, the death toll for Monday would exceed 110 – which makes the day the bloodiest day in the uprising.

Update: Spiegel Online reports that more than 220 deserters have been killed by artillery shelling and more than 40 civilians have been reportely killed.
Civil Disobedience of “Neutral” Laws
Civil disobedience is an important part of human culture that has served as a form of protest for centuries. The civil rights protests throughout the sixties used nonviolent civil disobedience to effectively change policy. Rosa Parks, for example, by refusing to sit in the back of the bus, made known the segregation issue to the masses. All in all, civil disobedience of “neutral laws” is an effective method of protesting and might even change the world into a better place.
